If you love Christmas lights, art installations, and holiday markets, this list of Christmas events in Mississauga is perfect for you.

You have to check out the fantastic outdoor events, like Light up the Square and the Mississauga Santa Claus Parade. There are celebrations in Mississauga's villages of Streetsville and Port Credit, one of the most magical Christmas towns in Ontario.
Plus, if you want to shop local for the holidays, there are plenty of local holiday markets featuring small businesses and artists from the community.

Light up the Square & Santa Claus Parade
- Where: Celebration Square
- When: Saturday, November 22nd
- Admission: Free

Light up the Square is one of the best Mississauga Christmas events and one that you definitely need to check out. Taking place at Celebration Square in downtown Mississauga (near Square One), there are tons of fantastic holiday experiences.
This year's Light up the Square includes the official lighting of the Christmas tree and the grand opening of Mississauga's largest outdoor ice rink. You can bring your own skates or there are also ice skate rentals on-site.
There's live entertainment, beautiful light displays, photos with Santa, illuminated artworks, food trucks, trackless train rides, busker performances, interactive musical bikes and more.
This year, Light up the Square is aligning with the Santa Claus Parade. Be sure to watch from the official parade route down Living Arts Drive and City Centre Drive.
Festival of Trees Mississauga
- Where: Small Arms Inspection Building
- When: December 5th - 14th, 2025 (Closed December 8th)
- Admission: Pay what you can

The Mississauga Festival of Trees is a multi-day winter holiday event at the Small Arms Inspection Building in Mississauga (Dixie & Lakeshore). Marvel at the twinkling displays of seasonal lights and modern tree art installations created by local artists.
Enjoy the sights and sounds with live entertainment as you browse the holiday market and art exhibitions that take place across two weekends (Friday to Sunday).
Through the week, you can visit the art exhibition and take part in workshops. These are led by local artisans and makers for participants of all ages to make their own hand crafted holiday gifts.
Winter #INThePort
- Where: Port Credit Memorial Park
- When: November 29th, 2025 (6pm to 9pm), and then continues in Port Credit through December 24th, 2025
- Admission: Free

Port Credit is always such a fabulous place in Mississauga for local festivals, and their holiday event is no exception. Winter #INThePort is an annual celebration at Port Credit Memorial Park.
Experience this family-friendy, community event that kicks off with the lighting of the lighthouse and the Port Credit Christmas tree. There's Caroling in the Park, free traditional cranberry punch and holiday treats, trackless train rides, live music and entertainment.
After the kickoff event in the park, Winter #INThePort Continues through to Christmas Eve in Port Credit. There's the window wonderland at local shops, photos with Santa, Victorian carolers in the street, holiday giveaways, free sweet treats and more.
Ward 1 Outdoor Christmas Market
- Where: Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans Club
- When: November 21st & 22nd, 2025
- Admission: Free (please bring a non-perishable food item)
Mississauga's Ward 1 Outdoor Christmas Market is a new holiday celebration and family-friendly event in the city. There's an extensive program with fun events and activities for all.
There's a festive artisan market with over 30 vendors featuring locally made gifts and crafts. Marvel at ice sculptures, dine at specialty food trucks, and enjoy the beer hall. Listen to live music and don't forget to get your photo taken with Santa.
Christmas in the Village
- Where: Streetsville
- When: November 21st & 22nd, 2025
- Admission: Free
The Village of Streetsville in Mississauga hosts its annual Christmas in the Village event. This is one of the best Mississauga Christmas events. It takes place on November 21st and 22nd this year, and it's a great kickoff to the holiday season.
Starting on the Friday evening, the festival takes place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and kicks off with the tree lighting ceremony at 7:00pm. The opening ceremonies featuring Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and there's also a live band playing throughout the evening.
Throughout Friday and Saturday, enjoy a holiday market with 30 local vendors, complimentary maple taffy and plenty of photo opportunities. There are plenty of fun activities for kids and people of all ages, kids crafts, on-stage entertainment and so much more. Take a wander through this enchanting Hallmark town and soak up the holiday spirit.
A Merry Little Christmas: Mississauga Symphony Orchestra
- Where: Living Arts Centre
- When: December 13th, 2025
- Admission: Ticket prices vary
The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra presents A Merry Little Christmas, a holiday performance with both matinee and evening shows. The afternoon performance is geared towards families with young children, while the evening show is presented for all ages.
You'll hear holiday favourites and participate in sing-a-longs. It's a wonderful way to listen to live music and get right into the Christmas spirit. Both shows take place on December 13th, 2025.
Latin Christmas Festival
- Where: Small Arms Inspection Building
- When: December 20th, 2025
- Admission: Free
The Latin Christmas Festival is back for another year in Mississauga! Presented by the Canadian Latin Heritage Association, the Latin Christmas Festival aims to promote Latin American Christmas traditions with the community through the arts.
There are artists and artisans with their wares, live music, dance and more. There's a full program for children's activities and crafts, festive decorations, a Santa Claus parade, a Christmas tree contest, and over 50 vendors with products, food and drink.

There are several Mississauga Christmas Markets this year featuring local and handmade wares.
