If you're looking for a good cup of coffee in Buena Park, California, I've got you covered. After spending three days in Buena Park, I visited my share of cafes for my daily caffeine fix. I'm pleased to provide you with a roundup of the best Buena Park coffee shops for you to seek out and enjoy.
While Buena Park coffee shops serve up all of your favorite coffee beverages, many are known for their specialties: strawberry lattes and banana lattes. After Los Angeles County, Orange County is home to the second largest Korean population in the United States.

Notably, there's a huge Korean-American population in Buena Park. The northern portion of Buena Park is officially known as "Koreatown". Embrace Korean culture in Buena Park through the food and restaurants, nightlife and clubs, karaoke bars, shopping, and of course, the coffee culture.
Best Buena Park Coffee Shops: Coffee Code

Coffee Code is a local coffee shop in Buena Park with two other locations in Southern California (Fullerton and Norwalk). This coffee house is a family business that opened its doors in 2010. Now, it is a great place to meet over coffee with friends or get some work done on your laptop.

Coffee Code aims to establish a friendly and positive environment for the community to enjoy coffee together. You can order from an extensive menu of coffee, espresso beverages and tea.
They offer specialties that I've only ever seen in Buena Park, the iced strawberry latte and iced banana latte. I ordered the iced banana latte and it was really tasty and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet, which I enjoyed, though I could have used a little more banana flavor. Overall, I really enjoyed this beverage, though I'd love to try their strawberry latte the next time I visit.
Buena Park Coffee Shops: In-Sit Coffee

In-Sit Coffee is another excellent Buena Park coffee shop situated in The Source OC shopping center. This cafe serves up both delicious food and drink, as they believe that great coffee should be accompanied by yummy eats. For this reason, we went for breakfast at In-Sit Coffee to sample their coffee, tea and light bites.

In-Sit Coffee has quite a few specialty latte beverages, including a rose latte and the iced banana and iced strawberry lattes. At In-Sit Coffee, I tried an iced strawberry latte for the first time and...wow!
It was the perfect combination of coffee and strawberry flavors with a bit of sweetness. It reminded me of the strawberry milk that you might have had as a kid, but elevated with espresso. You can order the iced strawberry latte with soy, oat or almond milk, too.
We paired our coffee and tea with avocado toast for breakfast. This was some of the best avocado toast that we've ever had! You'll find more details about the food we ate during our trip to Buena Park in our Buena Park vegan dining guide.
Buena Park Coffee Shops: Stereoscope Coffee

Stereoscope Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in Buena Park. Its decor is quite minimalist. One side of the shop is filled with burlap sacks of coffee beans and coffee roasting equipment. At the counter, the barista was very friendly and explained their pour-over coffee offerings for the day. It's apparent that they take coffee quite seriously here, but not in an off-putting way.

After the barista described the flavor notes of the coffee that day, I happily ordered a pour-over coffee. For instance, their Tanzania Jipemoyo beans have notes of ume, cranberry, and earl gray, while their Brazil Cerrado Select tastes of mulberry, strawberry compote and rosemary.
If you prefer an espresso beverage, it's possible to order an Americano, latte, cappuccino, etc. They also offer a few different kinds of matcha and other select teas. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a good place to work on your laptop. While the cafe itself takes a no-frills approach on its appearance, there are often line-ups because the coffee is really just that good.
Smoking Tiger Coffee & Bread

Smoking Tiger Coffee and Bread is a unique cafe in Buena Park where the goal is to share Korean heritage through coffee and bread. The phrase, "back when tigers used to smoke" is derived from Korean folklore and recalls good memories of times in the past. This is a space where all are welcome to embrace Korean culture through traditional flavors in both pastries and beverages.

Unfortunately, I couldn't sample any of the pastries as none are vegan-friendly, but they looked delicious. However, I did try a shaken house iced coffee that was quite tasty.
Enjoy the flavors of Korea like yuzu, black sesame and Korean honey oat and mugwort. Next time, I'd love to try a sparkling yuzu lemonade or the tiger latte (espresso mixed with brown sugar and caramel, frothed with oat milk over ice). Smoking Tiger Coffee and Bread has five coffee shops, one of course being in Buena Park.
Seesaw Beans and Coffee
Seesaw Beans + Coffee is a coffee shop with a heart. This Buena Park coffee shop not only serves up delicious brews, but also provides job training and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Seesaw Beans and Coffee roasts their own coffee beans as well, which you can purchase to try at home.
Their exceptional baristas will prepare handcrafted beverages from their specialty blends. Plus, you can feel good supporting a place where kindness and positive change are the focus. There are also interesting espresso beverages, like the Iced Ocean Blue Latte (I've never seen a blue latte before!) and the Spanish Latte.
Van Dyke Coffee Roasters
Van Dyke Coffee Roasters is another local coffee shop and roaster in Buena Park. Buena Park isn't that big of a city, but they're certainly blessed with quite a few coffee roasters! Buena Park is indeed the place to be for coffee lovers.
The name "Van Dyke" comes from the color Van Dyke Brown, the shade of roasted coffee beans. Their coffee is not brewed in batches, but rather for each individual customer who walks through their doors.
They only use specialty coffee beans for all of their beverages, whether it's a pour over or a latte, so you'll only drink the highest quality and best tasting drink. There are several flavors of lattes, including the special iced banana and iced strawberry latte that are Buena Park specialties.
Broken Yolk Cafe

Broken Yolk Cafe is one of my top picks for breakfast and brunch in Buena Park. While it isn't exactly a coffee shop, this is an excellent restaurant and cafe where you'll find some top notch coffee.
Like some of the best breakfast cafes, you can order coffee with unlimited refills with your meal (yes, that's dangerous, but awesome!). They also offer espresso drinks from their coffee bar, like lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, as well as chai and matcha.
Porto's Bakery and Cafe
Porto's Bakery and Cafe is a Buena Park favorite, with several locations in California going back to 1960. Its original owner, Rosa Porto, loved sharing her delicious cakes and pastries with the community. While she sadly passed away in 2019, her family continues her traditions by sharing these delectable treats through its six locations.
While the pastries and cakes are at the forefront, Porto's Bakery and Cafe offers beverages, too. Try their coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccino, iced coffee or blended lattes. There are some pretty interesting drinks to try, like an ube matcha latte and the horchata cold brew.
Gudetama Cafe
Gudetama Cafe is the newest cafe to open in Buena Park, and it's created quite the buzz! It's the second Sanrio cafe to open in California and the first Gudetama Cafe to open in the USA (there's one in Osaka).
Gudetama is the cute egg character by Sanrio that lazes about in an eggshell. Naturally, this is a very egg-centric menu with sandwiches and other eggy meals. This isn't really a coffee shop, but they do serve coffee to enjoy with your meal.
There's regular coffee and cold brew, as well as tea, juice and smoothies. While I wouldn't necessarily suggest this one if you're a coffee fiend like I am, you could check it out if you like quirky and cute spots (especially if you love Sanrio).
