Live in luxury at Luxquisite Property Lettings in Killarney, Ireland.
This is the house that will put any Airbnb to shame.
If you’re seeking the ultimate in comfort, stay at this luxury holiday home in Killarney. I had the opportunity to stay at the Belmont by Luxquisite Property Lettings and I never wanted to leave. Not only was it my home away from home, but it was actually way better than my actual home.
Welcome to the Belmont.
A SMART HOME
This isn’t your average house – it’s a smart home! What does that mean? When you arrive to the Belmont, you can “turn on” the house. At the touch of a button, the house comes to life. The lights turn on, the blinds raise, and the TV turns on. Welcome home!
With a user-friendly control pad, you can control various elements in each room individually. This is the first one that you’ll see in the hallway with the ability to control the lights, the outside gate, and the entire house. In other rooms, you can operate the blinds, shades, lights, and other electronics.
Furthermore, there’s an iPad in the kitchen where you can further control elements around the house. Play music in one of the bedrooms, watch TV in the living room. It’s easy to make sure the lights and electronics are turned off when you leave as it’s all done with the touch of a single button.
The Wi-Fi is fast, reliable, and equipped throughout the whole house. You also have a plethora of channels on the satellite flat-screen TVs. And yes, there’s a Smart TV in every room. No small detail has been spared.
MY STAY AT THE BELMONT
I visited Killarney in the middle of a three-week long Ireland road trip. My trip to Killarney coincided with the travel blogging conference, TBEX. During my five days in Killarney, I stayed at the Belmont by Luxquisite Property Lettings with Chris and Heather of the blog, A Brit and A Southerner and my road trip partner, Ashley of A Southern Gypsy.
We actually called this house our “mansion” because it’s such a luxurious self catering home. At 3100 square feet, it might not be truly classified as a “mansion”, although it really felt like one. When you drive up to the Belmont and enter the home for the first time, you’ll be in total awe.
The Belmont is attached to another neighbouring Luxquisite property, the Charleston.
The price to stay at the Belmont ranges from 300-550 Euros a night with a two-night minimum stay. That might sound expensive, but if you split the costs with a group of family or friends, it’s extremely affordable considering all the first class amenities.
The property manager, Ollie Favier, immediately invited us into the home and showed us how everything worked. Ollie is easy to get in touch with should any situations arise. He’s super friendly and we felt welcomed to Killarney right away.
LUXURY HOLIDAY HOMES KILLARNEY
The Belmont house is a three-story, spacious house with an open plan kitchen, dining space, and living space. There’s a separate family and cinema room with a sound system, which is to your left when you first enter the home.
There are a whopping five bedrooms in this luxury rental home in Killarney, sleeping up to 11 people. Two additional people can sleep on a pull out double bed. There are four bathrooms in total, including two en-suites.
The Belmont is perfect for larger groups or families. It was also wonderful to live in this modern, yet cozy home with a few fellow travel bloggers. With the lightning fast Internet, it was the best space to work, too. No need to find a coffee shop to get some work done.
THE MAIN FLOOR
When you first enter the Belmont, you’ll see a long hallway with the kitchen beyond the staircase. To your left, there’s a family room with couches and chairs to unwind and watch TV. There’s a raised, marble wood burning fireplace, combining traditional methods with modern designs. This room has a cozy atmosphere, impressive artwork, and stained glass windows between it and the hallway.
Leaving this room, continue to make your way down the hallway. There are glass sliding doors to your left with a small patio outdoors. Inside, there’s a small sitting area if you’re looking to enjoy some quiet time to yourself. There’s also a laundry room. It was so wonderful to wash my clothes after driving around Ireland for over a week.
On the main floor, there’s a bathroom that has a shower as well. It’s pretty rare to have four bathrooms in a home that all have showers. Even with 11 people in the home, there’s ample room for everyone and you won’t have to wait for long to use a restroom. This house is clearly designed for travellers in mind.
THE KITCHEN AND LIVING SPACE
This open concept design allows you to move freely between the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The massive, sleek kitchen features quartz counter tops, a high gloss purple back splash, and state of the art stainless steel appliances.
There’s a large island for additional space to prepare meals or gather around. This house comes with everything you need to prepare, serve, and eat meals. There are pots and pans, utensils, dishes, and several cupboards to store your food.
As for smaller appliances, there’s a kettle and toaster. There isn’t a coffee maker, although the instant coffee that’s provided tastes pretty good. You can also pop down to the nearby local pub that Ollie also owns, The Shire, for a cup of coffee in the morning.
I’m in love with this dining room table. It easily seats ten guests. With an additional four places at the kitchen island and numerous other spaces in the living room, the Belmont is an ideal spot to host a dinner party or event with friends.
The living room was the main spot that I gathered with Chris, Heather, and Ashley. We worked on our blogs and shared so many laughs sitting on these couches by the gas fireplace. I’ll always cherish the moments that we shared here.
If you continue beyond the sliding glass doors, you’ll discover a large outdoor patio. There’s greenery, patio furniture, and even a Green Egg barbecue. It’s all you need for outdoor entertaining. It’s a peaceful oasis in the city, and you’d never know there was anyone else around.
This was also the perfect place to watch those spectacular, Irish sunsets.
Let’s go upstairs so I can show you the bedrooms, bathrooms, and even an additional third floor room with more places to sleep.
There are four bedrooms in total on the second floor and an additional sleeping area on the third floor. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and there’s a third bathroom that can be shared by the two other bedrooms.
Here are the two bedrooms that don’t have en-suite bathrooms. However, the third shared bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub, as well as a shower.
Here’s a third bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and this one has the most beautiful view from the window of Killarney. Imagine waking up to this scenery every morning?
And last but not least, I stayed in this bedroom. It has an en-suite bathroom, faces the front of the house, and has a huge walk-in closet. I fully unpacked and made my self completely at home during my stay. The bed was so comfortable. From the moment my head hit those pillows, I had only restful sleeps.
And up to the third floor we go. We didn’t have enough people to make use of this space. As you can see, it’s an additional bedroom should you have several people in your party. The skylights allow plenty of light to enter the room, and there’s a small desk to get some work done. This loft room has a TV set, too!
The Belmont house is right in town and you can quickly and easily walk all over Killarney from the house. We were content to leave the car in the driveway and walk wherever we could. The Shire was a favourite local hangout. It was right down the street from Belmont, within a five minute walk. Within moments, you were right in downtown Killarney where all the action happens.
From Belmont, you can drive to Killarney National Park or explore the Ring of Kerry. We used Belmont as a base to explore the Ring of Kerry, Valentia Island, Ring of Skellig, and several neighbouring towns.
