Vote for Justin Plus Lauren

Update: We Won!!!

Thank you to everyone who voted for us. We are Tripfilms’ 2015 Filmmakers of the Year!!!!!!!  We’re very honored!

We’d Love Your Help!

We’re honored to be nominated for four Trippy awards at the travel video website, Tripfilms. Tripfilms is awesome – it’s the Youtube of travel videos. You can find videos covering so many destinations, created by travel bloggers and videographers. Justin and I have a travel show over at Tripfilms called Justin Plus Lauren. Through creating several videos over the past year, we’ve been nominated for some awards. This includes the coveted grand prize award of Tripfilms Filmmaker of the Year. We would love to win this prize because not only would we win $1000, but we would be asked to create a few short travel videos for Tripfilms in a destination of our choice. We’ve decided that we will be traveling to Iceland next year, so this would help fund our travels there and allow us to create videos showcasing the stunning scenery of the country.

Please go to the Tripfilms Voting Page ( and vote for us! Please choose us in the following categories:

  • “Justin Plus Lauren” for Filmmaker of the Year
  • “Justin Plus Lauren” for Best Travel Show
  • “Discover Beautiful Bermuda” for Eye Candy Award Best Imagery
  • “The Hidden Gems in my Hometown: Dundas, Ontario” for Video of the Year

The voting is open until July 27th, so please vote for us, share this blog post with your friends on social media, and help us win! Fingers crossed!

Please note that the voting page doesn’t seem to work on mobile devices, so you’ll have to use your computer for this one.

Good luck guys with these awards! Your videos are always AWESOME and we are very envious of the quality of them. We have taken videos but struggle with the video editing or in fact, struggle with actually taking videos that look good rather than just boring! You guys are an inspiration so keep up the great work and hopefully you will receive these awards that you richly deserve.

Thank you so much, Chris! That means a lot! It helps that we both went to school for videography/television/film and we both work as video editors. We are always trying to improve on our videos, it really just takes practice and I learn something every time on what works and what doesn’t. I’d love to see some videos from you guys! You’ve visited some truly inspiring places and it would be great to see them in motion. It would be great to see you both on camera too, though I might have to settle for meeting you in person at TBEX soon 😉
