We woke up at 6:30 in the morning to the sound of pouring rain and thunderstorms! Oh no! Well, we weren’t going to let this put a damper on anything. We went back to sleep until 8ish. When we woke up, we went downstairs to have a buffet breakfast. The only thing, as vegans, that we could really have was some peanut butter and jam on bread, fruit salad, and some coffee & juice. There was a wide assortment of freshly baked breads that were soft and warm. It would surely tide us over until lunchtime in Montreal. We also didn’t want to spend too much time eating because we wanted to go in the outdoor hot tub before we left! The above picture shows a view of the Auberge Beaux Reves Nordic spa / hot tub from our room’s balcony.
As you can see, the property of Auberge Beaux Reves was quite lovely, with the Nordic Spa up near the inn and everything surrounded by trees and greenery. Down below the spa, here was a river flowing by.
First things first, we went back up the room and changed into our bathing suits. We also had some complimentary bath robes to use while we were at the hotel. Of course, we had to pose for some photos in the robes! We headed back downstairs to the hot tub and to our surprise, it had stopped raining for a little while! Perfect!
For most of the time, we actually ended up having the entire spa to ourselves! It was really nice outside, despite the rain that had poured just a little while prior. The hot tub was huge and it was located in such a natural setting with big rocks all around. The view of the river was wonderful, too! We swam around and relaxed by some of the hot tub jets for a nice massage.
After relaxing in the hot tub, we checked out of the hotel and drove for about an hour towards Montreal.
